 Course Programme: Business Start-up  'Think Start'

An innovative and dynamic business course aimed at budding entrepreneurs, who are considering starting their own business.

The course will provide participants with the necessary skills and knowledge required to evaluate the potential of their business idea and its financial viability.
This programme will provide participants with a step-by-step guide to business start-up.  It will give them the tools, knowledge and support required to bring their product or service to market based on firm business principles of success.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, participants will:

  • Have a clear vision of their product and their target market.
  • Have addressed the issue of planning and the importance of planning and strategy in taking their product or service to market.
  • Have identified a suitable strategy for the promotion of their product and the next steps in developing and deploying a marketing plan.
  • Be equipped with simple practical tools to guide them through the process of risk analysis and problem solving.
  • Have produced a cash flow projection and a cost analysis report.
  • Have addressed sales targets and have prepared a break-even analysis.
  • Have set clear, achievable and sustainable goals in furthering their business start-up.
  • Have engaged with external parties with regard to progressing their business idea.
  • Have identified and committed to the next appropriate step in the progression or winding up of their current business model or idea.
  • Have created an outline business plan.
